Activity in the United States Attorney’s Office

Sentences
Jorge Arturo Martinez-Gaeta, 35, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on February 28, 2013, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Martinez-Gaeta was arrested in Douglas, Wyoming. He received five months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Joshua Goodman, 35, of Pavillion, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on February 25, 2013, for credit union and bank burglary. Goodman appeared pursuant to summons. He received three years of supervised probation, with the first four months to be served on house arrest. Goodman was further ordered to pay $24,170 in restitution and a $200 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the Riverton and Shoshoni Police Departments.
