FBI Announces $5,000 Reward for Information Concerning Savannah-Area Armored Car Robberies

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Mark F. Giuliano, Atlanta Field Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announces a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for several Savannah, Georgia-area armored car robberies. Loomis Armored is offering an additional reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to arrest/convictions of these same individuals.
On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Loomis Armored truck guard was robbed at gunpoint by four black males while servicing an ATM machine located at the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 1900 Victory Drive in Savannah, Georgia. The robbers fled the scene in a stolen red Dodge Ram pickup truck. That vehicle was later recovered by law enforcement officials.
On Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a Loomis Armored truck guard was robbed at gunpoint by three black males while servicing the Wells Fargo Bank located at 6999 Abercorn Street in Savannah, Georgia. Although the aggressive method of robbery was similar, notable differences in body characteristics and descriptions were observed in this last robbery.
